About Robert

Sitting in his impeccably tasteful design studio in the heart of San Francisco's Potrero Hill design district, it's hard to picture Robert among the cotton mills in Thomaston, Georgia.

But as soon as he greets you with his warm smile, it becomes clear why he is such a popular personality. His urban refinement and eloquent confidence creates an instantly likeable mix along with his relaxed southern charm and down to earth honesty. 

When this Georgia-native designer came to San Francisco, it became apparent it was only a matter of time till Robert would make a name for himself. And, that is exactly what he did by joining Podesta Baldocchi, the nation’s oldest floral design studio. He rapidly worked his way up becoming general manager in less than a year. Robert realized that the best way to make a statement in events would be to do the whole thing from start to finish himself. He started his own company because, as a designer, he saw that there was a disconnect between the designer and the client. “I wanted to bridge that gap and be the only contact with the client thus keeping the integrity of the event true and honest.” Achieving that goal, Robert has created a successful company that is unique in handling all aspects of the event, managing and directing every detail, always creating a beautiful production.

At his first major event, the San Francisco Ballet’s 65^th anniversary opening night gala in 1998, he incorporated many different layers to the event taking the opening night to new levels. The beauty of this prestigious event launched him into the world of event design and, in 1999; Robert started his own event design company. Now, over a decade later, Robert has expanded his company doing over 150 events a year—each event still containing that undivided, specialized attention that it deserves. No request is too extravagant. Roberts’s signature touch? Detail; this is what makes his events so unique and harmonizing with each client.

Traveling the country designing and creating imaginative events for both private individuals and corporate clients, appearing on numerous local and national television shows as a design and lifestyle expert and making frequent personal appearances, Robert has truly impacted and improved the events world.
